The Contours of Prohibited Identity

Posters, Booklet, Templete molds | Research Project, 2018

A research about a randomly selected city. Glurn (a region of Italy, used to be South Tyrol) and Korea share a similar experience of the occupation period ruled by other nations at the beginning of the 1900s. In both areas, there were numerous regulations to control them and those rules were mostly related to the ethnic identities. This project aims to outline the ‘Identity’ which means an inherent and unchangeable characteristic. By tracing the objects that were prohibited in the occupation period, it can be possible to reveal the absences of them and ultimately understand both region’s identity.
